HI, so it’s very simple if you read this it will be really easy for you in the future! So basically, looking at it, it’s basically multiplying but what confuses you are the signs (-)(negative) and (+)(positive). All you have to know is:
Positive number x positive number = positive answer
Negative number x negative number= positive answer
Positive number x negative number= negative answer
Negative number x positive number= negative answer
And as long as you know this it will be really easy for you. So just multiply as usual normally and then according to the rules find out if the answer will be negative or positive.

Number one rule of multiplication:

Anything times zero always equals zero.

Solve
(-6) * 0=0

Solve
8*(-2)=

To solve this, just multiply
8 * 2 and then make the answer negative:


8*2=16\\8*(-2)=(-16)

Solve
9*(-4) =

Use the same strategy you used above to solve this equation:


9*4=36


9*(-4)=(-36)
