The total number of water bottles required is 2000

The numbers collected is 1376

We would round 1376 to the nearest hundred. The hundred place value is 3. The number to the right of 3 is 7. Since it is greater than 5, 3 increases to 4. The value would be 1400

Thus, the number of extra bottles that the class needs to collect is

2000 - 1400 = 600
