On the drawing, the lenth of the backyard is 3 cm and the width is 2 cm. The scale used is

1 cm on the drawing represents 5 m on the real backyard

Thus,

length of real backyard is 3 * 5 = 15 m

Width of real backyard is 2 * 5 = 10 m

The formula for determining the area of a rectangle is expressed as

Area = length * width

Thus, area of the real backyard is

15 * 10 = 150 m^2
