given:

f(x) = -1/4(x) - 1

To find the inverse; first we solve for x and then we change the variables, as follows:

y = -1/4(x) - 1

y - 1 = -1/4(x)

x = -4y - 4; so:

f⁻¹(x) = -4x - 4

Graphs: (red one is the original and blue comes into the inverse)
