3 divided by sqrt8 + sqrt5=

3/(sqrt8+sqrt5)=

3(sqrt8-sqrt5)/(sqrt8+sqrt5)(sqrt8-sqrt5)=

(6sqrt2-3sqrt5)/3=

2sqrt2-sqrt5
