Slove the equation 3(x - 1) = 2x + 9

the expression that we have is:


3(x-1)=2x+9

the first thing we can do, is to distribute the 3 into the parenthesis:


3x-3=2x+9

now, we can pass all the terms with x to the left of the equation, and constants to the right of the equation:


3x-2x=9+3

and now we can solve the ecuation for x


x=12
