We have to use the midpoint formula


M=((x_1+x_2)/(2),(y_1+y_2)/(2))

Let's replace the given points


\begin{gathered} M=((3.2+1.6)/(2),(2.5-4.5)/(2)) \\ M=((4.8)/(2),(-2)/(2)) \\ M=(2.4,-1) \end{gathered}

Hence, the midpoint between (3.2, 2.5) and (1.6, -4.5) is (2.4, -1).
