Given:

A pocket full of change

The change contains 4 pennies, 2 nickels, and 3 dimes.

so, the number of coins = 4 + 2 + 3 = 9

The probability of choosing the first dime = 3/9

so, the number of coins will be = 9 - 1 = 8

The probability of choosing the second dime = 3/8

So, the probability if be randomly choosing 2 coins they are both dimes =

(3)/(9)\cdot(3)/(8)=(1)/(8)

Dependent
