ax + 1 = 2x + 26

what must be the value of a if x = 5

To solve this, we have to substiture the value of x into the equation and then solvw for the value of a.

ax + 1 = 2x + 26

a (5) + 1 = 2 (5) + 26

5a + 1 = 10 + 26

5a = 10 + 26 -1

5a = 35

a = 35/ 5

a = 7

Answer : (3) 7
