Solve the equation for x, this way:


\begin{gathered} -0.3x+7=0.2x+3 \\ -0.3x-0.2x=3-7 \\ -0.5x=-4 \\ x=(-4)/(-0.5) \\ x=8 \end{gathered}

x has a value of 8.
