Data: 5, 10, 6, 9, 8, 4, 4, 8, 9, 35

Range: highest value - lowest value = 35 - 4 = 31

Mean: (5 + 10 + 6 + 9 + 8 + 4 + 4 + 8 + 9 + 35)/10 = 9.8

Standard deviation: √{ [(5-9.8)² + (10-9.8)² + (6-9.8)² + (9-9.8)² + (8-9.8)² + (4-9.8)² + (4-9.8)² + (8-9.8)² + (9-9.8)² + (35-9.8)²]/10} = √(747.6/10) = 8.6

Variance: (5-9.8)² + (10-9.8)² + (6-9.8)² + (9-9.8)² + (8-9.8)² + (4-9.8)² + (4-9.8)² + (8-9.8)² + (9-9.8)² + (35-9.8)²/(10 - 1) = 747.6/9 = 83.1
