We use the formula of the area of a circle

A=\pi* r^2

where r is the radious, then replace the values

\begin{gathered} A=(3.14)*(5)^2 \\ A=3.14*25 \\ A=78.5 \end{gathered}

total area of the circle is 78.5 square centimeter
