y= 5x-13 (a)

3x+5y=19 (b)

Replace the value of y 0n (b) by (a)

3x+5 (5x-13) = 19

3x+25x-65=19

28x =19+65

28x=84

x= 84/28

x=3

Replace x on (a) and solve for y

y=5(3)-13

y= 15-13

y= 2
