The environment can greatly affect phenotype. Factors such as diet, temperature, oxygen levels, humidity, and mutagens can affect the genes of an organisms that will be expressed thereby affecting its phenotype. Temperature when in its increased state can increase variability in phenotype. Epistasis is present when the allele of a gene hides from another gene.
