If the scale factor is one half, then all sides of the dilated figure is one half of the side of original figure.

The perimeter is sum of all sides of figure. So if side is one half of the original sides, then perimeter is also one half of the original perimeter.

So correct answer is, The new perimeter is one-half the original.
