LAB 9: SPECTROSCOPY: ABSORPTION & EMISSION)When plotting a graph of A vs. B, what does it mean if one says that A is directlyproportional to B? What would the graph look like?

When plotting a graph of A vs B, A and B are different analysis variables, for example: absorbance and concentration of an analyte.

If one says that A is directly proportional to B, it means that if B increases, A will also increase. In the same way, if B decreases, A will also decrease.

Graph:

In this example, both variables increase.
