What would happen to crops if the nitrogen cycle were disrupted?

Well, there are many things that could happen to crops if the nitrogen cycle was disrupted, but what I can say is, crops or plants would not be able to make amino acids, as nitrogen is one precursor required for amino acid biosynthesis. So, if amino acid biosynthesis were to stopped, protein o synthesis would be impaired as well
