x = Distance traveled by horse

y = Distance traveled by train

T = Total distance

Therefore:


\begin{gathered} T=x+y \\ where\colon \\ x=19.33\operatorname{km} \\ y=2.27\operatorname{km} \\ so\colon \\ T=19.33\operatorname{km}+2.27\operatorname{km}=21.6\operatorname{km} \end{gathered}
