To answer this question, we need to use the following equation (point-slope):

y-y1=m(x-x1)

We have:

• m = 6

,

• The point is (-7, 1)

Then

y-1=6(x-(-7))\Rightarrow y-1=6(x+7)\Rightarrow y-1=6x+42_{}

Therefore

y=6x+42+1\Rightarrow y=6x+43

Then the point-slope form of a line with m = 6, passing through (-7,1) is

y-1=6(x+7)

y=6x+43

And the previous result is the standard form of the equation.
