Andrea bought 12 bagels and 10 muffins at the bakery.

Of these items, 2/3 of the bagels were multigrain and 3/5 of the muffins were bran muffins.

12a

We need to multiply 2/3 by 12 to get the number of multigrain bagels.

(2)/(3)*12=(24)/(3)=8

Therefore, she bought 8 multigrain bagels.

12b

We need to multiply 3/5 by 10 to get the number of bran muffins.

(3)/(5)*10=(30)/(5)=6

Therefore, she bought 6 bran muffins
