The area of a circle can be find with the next formula:

A=\pi\cdot r^2

Where r is the radius

Then, for the given radius:

\begin{gathered} A=\pi\cdot(3(1)/(4)yd)^2 \\ \\ 3(1)/(4)=(12)/(4)+(1)/(4)=(13)/(4) \\ \\ A=\pi\cdot((13)/(4)yd)^2 \\ \\ A=\pi\cdot(169)/(16)yd^2 \\ \\ A=10.56\pi yd^2 \end{gathered}

Then, the are of a circle with radius 3 1/4 yd is 10.56 pi square yards
