Point (-4, -6)

Parallel y = -3/2x - 5

1.- As the lines are parallel, they have the same slope

slope of both lines = -3/2

2.- Equation of the line

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Substitution

y + 6 = -3/2(x + 4)

y = -3/2 x - 12/2 - 6

y = -3/2 x - 6 - 6

Result

y = -3/2 x - 12
