Given the following expression:

(2)/(5)-(1)/(2)(7x9)

we can find the product inside the parenthesis first to get the following:

(2)/(5)-(1)/(2)(7x9)=(2)/(5)-(1)/(2)(63)=(2)/(5)-(63)/(2)

then, doing the substraction, we get:

(2)/(5)-(63)/(2)=(4-315)/(10)=-(311)/(10)

therefore, the simplified expression is -311/10
