QUESTION

Solve for m in the the formula:

(r)/(m)\text{ =c}

Solution

To solve for m

we will first multiply both-side of the equation by m

That is:

(r)/(m)*\text{ m = c}* m

On the left-hand side of the equation m at the numerator will cancel-out m at the denominator, leaving us with just r

r\text{ = c}* m

Next, is to divide both-side of the equation by C

(r)/(c)\text{ = }(c* m)/(c)

At the right-hand side of the equation, c at the numerator will cancel-out c at the denominator, leaving us with just m

(r)/(c)\text{ = m}

This implies that:

m\text{ =}(r)/(c)
