At x = 1;


f(1)=1^2-1=0

and at x = 7;


f(7)=7^2-1=49-1=48

The rate of change of the function is;


\begin{gathered} =(48-0)/(7-1) \\ =(48)/(6) \\ =8 \end{gathered}

CORRECT ANSWER: FALSE because the rate of change is NOT 7.
