An ice cream factory makes 230 quarts of ice cream in 10 hours. How many quarts could be made in36 hours? What was that rate per day?

Solution:

In 10 hours, number of ice cream = 230 quarts

In 1 hour, number of ice cream = 230/10 quarts

= 23 quarts

In 36 hours, number of ice cream = 23*36

= 828 quarts.

In 1 day (24 hours), number of ice cream = 23*24

= 552 quarts.

Therefore, the number of ice cream makes in the factory is 828 quarts in 36 hours and the factory makes 552 quarts per day.
