First, we have to find the distance between W and Z

W is on -5

Z is on 4

As we can see in the number line the distance between the 2 points is 9:

l-5-4l = l-9l = 9

Now, point N is 1/3 of the distance from W to Z.

Simply multiply the distance (9) by 1/3.

9 x (1/3) = 3

So, N is 3 units from -5

In the number line:

Point N is at -2 in the number line
