SOLUTION


\begin{gathered} Given \\ (x+6)/(x-3)=(4)/(7) \end{gathered}

Cross multiply and simplify;


\begin{gathered} 7x+42=4x-12 \\ 7x-4x=-12-42 \\ 3x=-54 \\ x=(-54)/(3) \\ x=-18 \end{gathered}

The answer is -18.

OPTION D IS THE CORRECT ANSWER.
