h(x)=|-x+5|

in order to evaluate the function in -1, 0, and 4, we need to give x the value of the corresponding number.

for -1

\begin{gathered} h(-1)=|-(-1)+5| \\ h(-1)=|1+5| \\ h(-1)=|6| \\ h(-1)=6 \end{gathered}

for 0

\begin{gathered} h(0)=|0+5| \\ h(0)=|5| \\ h(0)=5 \end{gathered}

for 4

\begin{gathered} h(4)=|-4+5| \\ h(4)=|1| \\ h(4)=1 \end{gathered}
