Given the below linear equation;


y+1=(4)/(3)x

We know that the general equation of a straight line is given as;


y=mx+c

where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept

So let's rearrange the given equation in the form of the general equation of line;


y=(4)/(3)x-1

Comparing the rearranged equation with the general equation of a line, we can see that the slope, m, is 4/3.
