The correct option is B. shrink. As more solvent is added to the solution, it eventually becomes hypertonic. When cells are suspended in hypertonic solutions, they begin to shrink. Cells lose water to try to "dilute" the solvent concentration in its envinroment, in order to reach isotonic concentration.
