We know the population proportion p=0.88.

Then, picking a university and see if it has online offerings can be considered a Bernoulli experiment with probability of success p=0.88.

Each pick behaves like a Bernoulli random variable.

If we have a sample of 18 Bernoulli random variables becomes a Binomial random variable, with probability of success p=0.88 and sample size n=18.

Then, if X is the number of universities from the sample that offer learning courses, it can be written as:

X\sim B(18,0.88)
