we must use the slope formula

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

where (x2,y2)is a point right from (x1,y1)

so on this case

(x2,y2)=(2,5)

and

(x1,y1)=(-8,-4)

\begin{gathered} m=(5-(-4))/(2-(-8)) \\ \\ m=(9)/(10) \end{gathered}

the slope is 9/10
