a medical test is given in which 75 people test positive. out of this 75 people, 60 are true positives.what is the predictive value (ppv) of the test.

To get the PPV we have to divide the true positive by the total cases that were positive in the test. So we get


(60)/(75)=(12)/(15)=(4)/(5)

so the ppv of the test is


(4)/(5)
