y=4x-9 (a )

7x-6y=3 (b)

Replace the value of y (a) on (b) and solve for x:

7x - 6 (4x-9) = 3

7x -24x + 54 = 3

7x-24x = 3-54

-17x = -51

x = -51/-17

x = 3

Replace x=3 on (a) and solve for y

y= 4(3)-9

y= 12-9

y= 3

solution:

x=3

y=3
