SOLUTION

The formula for area of Parallelogram is given as:

A= Base x Height

The formula for area of a trapezoid is given as:


A=(1)/(2)(a+b)h

Notice that the area of of the trapezoid can be defined as

A=Average of Base x height.

This implies that the both figures have the formula as a product of base and height.
