answer and explanation

A person that has contracted HIV will have their immune system attacked by the virus this then causes the viral load to increase and the immune system fails to get rid of the infection leading to full blown AIDS once a person is diagnosed with AIDS their immune system is no longer strong enough to fight off the infection and becomes weak leading to secondary infections that can cause death
