Okay, here we have this:

Considering that AC=AB+BC, when we replace we get the following:

9x-12=2x+6+4x-3

Let's solve for x:

9x-12=6x+3

9x=6x+15

3x=15

x=15/3

x=5

Now to find AC, we are going to replace the value of x = 5:

AC=9x-12

AC=9(5)-12

AC=45-12

AC=33

Finally we obtain that x=5 and AC=33.
