We are given that 30% of 30 questions were answered right. To know the number of questions that were right we need to multiply the number of the question by 30%, that is 30/100, like this:

30*(30)/(100)

Solving the operations we get:

30*(30)/(100)=9

Therefore, 9 questions were answered right.
