Please have this at the back of your mind that two coats of special rust prevention paints is needed.

Each covering is the same as finding the total surface area of the propane tank with the shape of a cylinder with 2 hemispheres ends

The total surface of a Propane Tank (PT) is given as:

\begin{gathered} Totalsurfaceareaofapropanetank_{}=\text{ The 2 Base Areas + The Surface Area of a cylinder} \\ \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{The base area = Area of a hemisphere = 2}\pi r^2 \\ \end{gathered}

Note that radius(r)=2.7ft

\begin{gathered} \text{Base Area= 2}*3.14*2.7^2 \\ =\text{ 6.28}*7.29=45.7812ft^2 \\ \text{The 2 base area= 2}*45.7812ft^2=91.5624ft^2 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{The surface area of the cylinder= 2}\pi rh \\ \text{Given r=2.7ft and h=16ft} \\ \text{Surface Area=2}*3.14*2.7ft*16ft \\ =271.296ft^2 \end{gathered}

The surface area of the propane tank will give
