The cell membrane has the function to contain and isolate de internal medium from the exterior, on the other hand, homeostasis is the equilibrium state necessary in an organism, to survive and function properly, so the cell membrane by isolating the inner contents and actively selecting the compound that can pass, maintain a proper equilibrium hence propper homeostasis.
