A piano teacher is assisting her students in selecting which songs to perform at a recital she does not want any duplicates on the program Bridget chooses a song and then Alan does are these 2 events dependent or independent

The events are dependent.

Once the teacher selects one song for the recital, there is one less song to choose from, therefore when Bridget chooses a second song, the sample space is modified and the probability to select one particular song is different from the probability of the first event.

Since one event modifies the conditios for the other event, they are dependent.
