Basically, Evolution.

The theory of natural selection by Charles Darwin provides that reasonable method of evolution. Natural selection essentially states that "the strong survive." The basic idea is that when change occurs, those organisms best suited to the new circumstances will thrive. Those who aren't suited for the conditions will not be able to compete. Charles Darwin and is now believed to be the main process that brings about evolution.
