5x+3−(4+4x)=8
5x+3+−1(4+4x)=8(Distribute the Negative Sign)
5x+3+(−1)(4)+−1(4x)=8
5x+3+−4+−4x=8
(5x+−4x)+(3+−4)=8(Combine Like Terms)
x+−1=8
x−1=8
Add 1 to both sides: x−1+1 = 8+1

x=9
