Biodiversity by definition is the set of all living organisms on the planet, their environment, and interactions. Therefore taking this into consideration we can say that biodiversity provides ecosystem services such as clean water, coal, wood, etc. Many aspects fall under this field, nonetheless, biodiversity also provides compounds and substances that we need such as antibiotics or acetylsalicylic acid. Finally, we can say that without biodiversity we could not exist as they are a vital support for ourselves and for the living organisms themselves.
