g(t)=-3t^3-4t
f(t)=4t-4

As there is an adition of functions you have:

g(t)+f(t)=(-3t^3-4t)+(4t-4)

You remove the parentheses:

=-3t^3-4t+4t-4

Make adds and substracts: You can just add or substract similar terms (ex. t^2+2t^2=3t^2)

=-3t^3-4Then:

g(t)+f(t)=-3t^3-4
