a total of approximately 10,000 tons of platinum has been mined. if this amount were in cube, what would be the size of the cube and what would be its value?

mass of the cube = 10,000 t

2) To find this, let's use the formula for the Volume. Imagining a cube as huge box.

Let's convert that unit ton to m³

1 t ------ 1000m³

10,000t -------- x

x =10^7 m³ =0.01 km³

3) Plugging into the Volume formula


\begin{gathered} V=a^3 \\ 0.01=a^(3) \\ a=0.215 \end{gathered}

So the measure of the side of that cube is 0.215 km or 215m

The cube then has each of its 6 sides measuring 215m
