y= 4x+7.

y = -2x - 29

Then substitute

4x + 7= -2x - 29

Now isolate x

4x -(-2x) = -29 - 7

4x + 2x = -36

6x = -36

So then

x = -36/6 = -6

Now find y

y= 4x + 7= 4•(-6) + 7 = -24 + 7 = -17

Then answer is

x= -6

y= -17
