Given two points of a line, (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂), we can find the slope of the line, m, using the fllowing equation:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Since we have the points (3, 2) and (-12, -15), the slope is:


\begin{gathered} m=(-15-2)/(-12-3)=(-17)/(-15)=(17)/(15) \\ m=(17)/(15) \end{gathered}
