To answer this question we need to remember quickly how mitosis and meiosis work, mitosis is a type of asexual reproduction, produces two identical diploid daughter cells and has 4 stages, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase, meanwhile, meiosis is a type of sexual reproduction, produces four haploid genetically different cells, meiosis has 4 stages, however, the process is repeated twice being: prophase I, metaphase I, anaphase I, telophase I, prophase II, metaphase II, anaphase II, and telophase II, so with this in mind we can say the correct option is letter A, meiosis repeats the process so there are more phases than in mitosis.
